A WEEKEND OF INTENSE DOMINATION IN QUEENSLAND

A WEEKEND OF INTENSE DOMINATION IN QUEENSLAND

QLD DH STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ROCKY TRAIL SUGAR BAG 4HR

The DH Queensland State titles in Kandanga went off after a month break from a Covid Delay. With heavy rain on Saturday morning  the shuttle road was damaged so the directors decided to shorten the course and run the bottom half of the course that produced some high speeds and hero dirt later on race day.

Our Queensland boys came ready to take home the hardware and the prestigious title of Queensland state champ. In the Elite men’s it was a battle between our very own Akira Yamada and Bryce Stirling but after the last rider crossed the finish line Bryce Stirling racing a Carbine was able to beat out fellow Intense rider Akira riding his M29. In the Masters 4 class Rory Whitelaw was dominant with a solid riding taking the state title on his M29. Kane Lowe was also dominant in the Masters 3 class on his m16. In the under 17 class Isaiah Kelso put a solid time for a podium finish but he admits he left some time on the track.

With our Gravity riders doing work in Kandanga, New to the brand and absolute weapon Brent Reese took his long training hrs to the starting line for the 4hr XC race at the Rocky Trail Entertainment Sugar Bag 4hr. Brent took the lead early and never looked back as he destroyed the competition aboard the Sniper T. Brent explained the 120mm of travel was a clear advantage with technical track and the amount of time spent on the bike. Brent didn’t just win the Elite Men’s class but was the fastest outright including the teams.

We are proud to have such amazing riders that believe in the product to help them achieve their goals and aspirations. When you see our tent at the races make sure you stop by and say hi.
